ITDA Group Marketing

ITDA Group Sales
Training (& Marketing)
We will explain here some helpful tips on how to sell and market ITDA
Group Training & Certification Programs:
From 2000 ITDA have been attending
dive shows around the World to support
our members...
Remember that NOT all diver training agencies are the same....
These notes are designed to help you to better understand how to sell and
market ITDA Group Training Programs.
Firstly here are some very important points you should feel comfortable about:
- Study and really understand the ITDA Programs that you are going
to promote or teach
- Not all diver training and certification training is the same!
- PADI is NOT the Industry Standard to learn to Dive
- PADI and RSTC are NOT industry governing bodies, the RSTC is a
Council of agencies designed to limit competition... In most countries there
are NO Laws governing Scuba Diving or learning to dive.
- One of the strictest and most difficult Countries in the World
to operate is the United Kingdom, as in the UK Diving is regulated by law...
UK HSE. ITDA are a UK HSE Approved Training & Certification Agency.
- Diving and learning to dive is about a personal relationship
with the Instructor, it is NOT about agencies!
- Most people learning to dive have only heard of PADI? Well this
is a great opportunity to educate them
In professional sales courses one of the first concepts you will
learn about is that of competition... This is very hard when customers say to
you, "I want to do a PADI Diving Course", or "I want to do my PADI License to
Dive"...
Your first reaction to just say OK we can start tomorrow.... (If you are
also a PADI Instructor), but a more fun and challenging response is to reply,
"Yes, of course I know the PADI System, but there are many different
professional training agencies to choose from", "I would like to suggest ITDA
Group International, because the training standards are higher and you will
learn more about diving in the same time, plus a big factor is...

We have a promotion on ITDA entry level / resort diver programs this week for
just" $$$$$$$
Do you see! Can you understand what we have just done... We have given the
customer an alternative with something to really think about! Of Course if they
really want to only learn to dive PADI... That's fine... But 9 out 10 times,
they do not even know of other agencies at this level...
Another favourite is when a PADI diver is looking for advanced diver
training, and says "My friend is a PADI Advanced Diver so I want to Dive with
Him / Her"... You can simply explain that; "We allow PADI divers, or any other
agency divers to complete our advanced and specialist diver training programs,
and as the ITDA Level is a much higher standard their friend can upgrade to ITDA
for a Special price and you can dive and train together". When would you
like to start?
Marketing
ITDA Group Training & Certification Programs
Do not say anything bad or negative about other agencies, however
present the ITDA Training you are offering in the following three ways..
1. Explain clearly the Benefits to the Student / Diver. (A benefit is
anything they can see as value or worth something to them!) For example if you
are promoting a "RESORT DIVER PROGRAM"...
You might highlight the fact that they get more theory
training, more dives (6 Open Dives with ITDA, opposed to the 4 dives in PADI)
they cover basic rescue skills and then can dive supervised to 20m/66ft. (PADI
Sports Diving is Limited for Open Water Divers to 18m/60ft. and they do not
learn rescue skills... and they can dive unsupervised after 4 more open water
dives, (This is because the majority of accidents occur between the certifying
dives and 10 dives experience, according to data from DAN (Divers Alert Network)
and PADI)...
1. The ITDA Resort Diver MUST have a minimum of 10 Open water dives
before they can dive unsupervised, making them more experienced, more confident
and feeling a lot safer!
2. Explain our Training Philosophy: The Three C's. Comfort /
Confidence / Competence... With ITDA we do not just certify you to dive, you
really earn the right to be certified to dive.
3. Standards & Safety: We create training programs that are
designed
to be a lot of fun... But we also ensure that the student is aware of the Risks
and hazards associated with diving activities.
We have higher standards to protect people from themselves. One
example of this is our renewal process.
It does not make good sense to issue a diving certification for life! Things
change, standards change, even equipment changes... And divers need to stay
updated...
If you are going to be a safe diver you need to keep your skills and theory
up to date.... This is why our certifications are for six (6) years... This has
been a small taste of our seminar program material. If you really want to
improve your sales skills why not
book a seminar.
